Well I'll Be...................

I've fought with new router and extender and desktop and laptop and plugs and cords for a week and all of a sudden for whatever reason the Internet has decided to bless me with its presence!   I will not reject its kind offer.........I will not wonder why.........I will just be thankful and enjoy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013

Wow!!!  2012 was quite the year............good and bad!  But I'm all excited for 2013 already.   My youngest daughter, our little firefighter/paramedic, is having her first baby in March.  She and her sweet hubby are soooo excited.   They're going to be amazing parents.
I'm excited about the Art/Photography shows I'll be entered in.   I've been enjoying riding and roping.........want to do lots more ranch roping this year.   I love sewing Wild Rags........Cowgirl meets Chic.   And I loooove designing and tying/weaving my 100% Mohair cinchas.   I love dyeing the mohair and creating my own designs.   Comfortable, wearable art for the horses you love and appreciate!  I'm about to create something adoreable for my little mare to wear.....breastcollar/cincha natural with COLOR. 
Well, its late but I'm waaaaay happy to say I finally got internet to this computer.......only took 3 days.   And I couldn't even begin to tell you why its finally working :( but it is so I will just accept that?!?!?!
Check out my 365 days of photographs on my facebook page.....I'm challenging myself to get that camera back in my hand at all times.   When I'm training a horse to work cattle its darn hard to have my camera hanging around my neck!  I've gotten a little lazy about only carrying my iPhone and its just not the same.   So I'm challenged now:)

I'm a passionate American!
 
I don't really care which 'party' runs our government ....I care what they are doing for America and the American people.   This great country belongs to every true American.

We need to be a country with closed borders....like everywhere else.   We need to get our heads on straight and learn to fly right ( just had to add that....those were my mom's words when I was a kid :).

What our government does SHOULD be in the best interest and welfare of the American citizens.....the ones who work and pay taxes....

I'm all for embracing with open arms people seeking safety on American soil.......refugees escaping a horrible homeland situation.   But embrace them legally, put them thru the process, give them paying jobs.....not welfare.......no medical without earning it...

SO SIMPLE REALLY---------

Reward the slightest try...........no reward for no try.
Ask and then Promise :)   Don't ask 749 times!
Meet the resistance and up it 4%.......don't sigh and give it away :(
Give crimes harsher punishment.  
If you steal over the age of 18.....lose a finger.....2nd theft......lose another finger............I do believe stealing will slow down.
Rape proven by DNA gets 50 years.
Murder gets the death sentence.   Too bad ... not sad!
Stop gun control........let citizens protect themselves.

Let's get back to being a REAL country with REAL honest to goodness laws to protect the people of our great country.

It's TIME to stop protecting the criminals and get back to protecting the victims.  

My Spring has Sprung

I really think my back would like me to stop hurting it.  I was climbing on top of the 6 foot paddock fence behind the barn at 11:30 pm... hanging on with one leg and leaning out to aim my flashlight up and into a crevice to spray wasp foam into it..........I got it good.........searched around with my light and found two more above me.......sprayed them, too.  But foam and wiggling, dying wasps were beginning to drooooooop down towards me and I .....mmmmm, well, I kind of pushed off in a sort of dismount from the fence.......still holding onto the flashlight and spray and ....well, I didn't land on my feet.  My neck, spine, and hip got some serious realigning. Sorry body........I need to begin treating you like the worn out, tweaked 65 year old body you are and stop thinking I can still hop off a 6 foot fence and spring off in a sprint when I land.  My bounce has gotten kind of flat :)

I have an update coming your way folks... I've just spent a couple of hours putting it together.....to catch me up here.  But first.... I just wanna say..........I WANT THESE BOOTS...  ohmygosh but wouldn't they be darling with long skirts and sweaters next winter :) Yes they would and I'm gonna have me some!

Working cattle in the hills this weekend.  Last bunch for us for a while.

In The Company of Cowgirls Art Show

I enjoyed being a participant in the art show in Pendleton, Oregon....IN THE COMPANY OF COWGIRLS.    The competition is tough because the talent is amazing  :)

And next week I deliver my juried photography/art to EQUINE DREAM ART SHOW at Sacramento's Horse Expo fine art show... held in June.

And also, delivering my juried photography to the CALIFORNIA STATE FAIR'S FINE ART COMPETITION.....a big yay for me :) 

I've always wanted to have something entered in a state fair ...ever since I was a little kid..............FINALLY :)

Thanks to all my family and friends who pushed me to do something with my photography.....I'm really enjoying myself and happy to be sharing it with the world.  Lots of people are loving it and that's what it's all about.  Any kind of art is for the love of making it and the joy in sharing it.
